英语青年教师口语比赛稿

It's my honor to stand here and I am very happy to have a chance to give you a speech.The wind in the winter makes us feel cold, but it can’t freeze my enthusiasm of giving you a speech. The topic of my speech today is “how to improve our spoken English”.

“How to improve our spoken English” is the question which the enthusiast asks for hundreds of times.It is an easy and earthy question but hard to answer. In my opinion, it is “listen more”、“speak more”、”read more” and ”write more”. That is what I always say to my students.

But in our daily life, we have nobody to speak to. We always say we have no time. We always say that.We’re afraid of making mistakes. We don’t want to hear “shame on you”. But in fact,we did it by way of none for tomorrow.

If we want to improve our spoken English, we should be initiative、brave. We have to get over pudency. Take a dog's chance, we’ll be be successful in it.

First, imitation: you can imitate a tape which recorded by mother tongue speakers. You should repeat by sentence by sentence. New concept English is a right choice. The articles are not very long.

Second, reading: After your inmitation, you can read in the tape way consciously. You can record your voice. You are conscious of your shortcomings. Then you can change bit by bit.

Third, iterance: After imitation、reading, you can do that. It is harder than recite. In your imitation、reading、iterance，you should speak in a loud voice.

Fouth, I think, is writing. Everyday you can write diary in English. Write everything you heard, you saw. But not in written statement. You can use spoken language.

In the end, we should use in our class. Therefore, only if we can do all these, we are able to improve our spoken English. Only when we have done all these, can we make o
