　　Good morning everyone,today the topic of my lecture is“Just Do Yourself”.

　　Now before the lecture,I will tell you a story.We know Kobe Bryant who is an NBA basketball player.And now he is one of the best players in the NBA.But the people haven't stopped to compare Kobe with Jordan since Kobe joined the NBA.Why? Because they really look the same.They are both two meters tall and they are good at slam dunking.Both of them could control the game.And they were wonderful.In 1997 Kobe's first NBA season,he showed his astonishing bounce to the people just like when Jordan was young.In fact Kobe was a good player but Jordan is better than him .Since Kobe wanted to catch up with Jordan.He tried to do what Jordan did he began to im itate Jordan.For example,did the jump shoot.But he was wrong.Although he tried to do better and better,no one cried out,they only say,“Look,a second Jordan.”But they would never say,“Look, he is Kobe.”Then Kobe realized no matter what he did as Jordan he won't become a great Kobe,but only a second Jordan.Since then ,he stopped imitating Jordan and do it himself.Now he is a great player even better than Jordan.

　　After this story,I think we must realize that to learn and to imitate are not the same.I think to copy someone is the most foolish action in the world.Why?Because you are just you but not anyone .You're the only you in the world.I think we must be proud of that.Personality is an important thing for us,if we lost it we would lose ourselves.And personality is easy to break.Time,others'comments and depresson also can break it, don't let them change your personality.Because you are only you,not anyone else,I think.This is the best way for you to achieve success.Remember,when you do something,say to yourself,“I am myself,and I don't need to copy anyone.Just do yourself.”Thank you.Thank you very much.

　　Q:Do you always believe in yourself or you rely on others?

　　A:I do it myself.Maybe the students,your parents will tell you that,“Oh,you must learn from the others.Oh,Look,he is very good.He is good at handwriting,he is good at singing,he is good at dancing.”But I think I can do it myself.You know Michael Jordan returned to the NBA in 2002.Many people said,“Oh,you are too old,you must stay at home.”Maybe he couldn't get the third-point again ,maybe he couldn't bring everything.But he can control the game and I think he is a great player.And I think if you say something is right,you can do it.Thank you. 　　Good morning,ladies and gentlemen.

　　My topic today is“Quality Education”.We all know that everyone is talking about quality education these days.And I think this topic is about us students,so I want to say something about it.

　　In the past,to get a good m ark in exam inations has been regarded as being the most important thing for a student and it is also what parents always expect their children to do.Of course, marks are important,but I think it is not enough,because a good mark doesn't mean that you can do other things well.And I think,as a student,we must develop our skills in other ways,so as to turn ourselves into a qualified graduate for modernization of the motherland.

　　Then someone will say,“But then it is im possible to distinguish between good and bad.”Yes,I think marks are important but not the most important.We should develop ourselves fully.Because in the morden world,to have many skills is very important and necessary.And quality education exists to help us develop our virtue,cultural and scientific levels,and fitness.

　　The first,virtue.As the saying goes,“Body needs health, spirit needs virtue.”And I think virtue is the most important thing to us.If someone lacks virtue,then he or she lacks everything,because if one's morality is bad,so are his interests.Then he might do something bad for society.So I think virtue is the most important.Of course,it's better to keep virtue in one's mind than to mention it frequently,so keep virtue in your minds.

　　The second,cultural and scientific levels.That means we must be well educated,so as to be wise.And I think this is also very important for us to do something good for society.Because if we don't have much knowledge,we can't do anything though we may want to.

　　The third,fitness.Fitness is very important.I am a good example of this,because you see I'm weak because when I was small,I really didn't do any sports .And I am very regretful now, so now I try my best to do some sports,in order to make me stronger,because health is important.

　　So all of these are important,quality education is important.And I hope quality education can be continued.If so,our country will have a brighter future.Thank you!
